Connecting Roxbury to the World!
We live in a world that is becoming increasingly connected. If our students are to be career and college ready then they need to be prepared to engage with people from all over the world. There will be countless languages spoken, different cultural norms, new perspectives, and so much more. As a teacher in a rural community, my students are not exposed to this on a daily basis.
This website is designed to help promote global learning within the classroom and to help students develop the global competencies that they need to be successful. As a participant in the Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms program I have been exposed to a myriad of resources and as you browse through this site you will come across what I have learned. My goal is to present this information in a manner that is user friendly for anyone interested in incorporating this into their curriculum.
Within the ‘Study’ section of this site you can find material to help learn more about global education and how to bring it your school. Within the ‘Teach’ section you can find resources to help you incorporate these concepts into your classroom.
Before you move on, I recommend watching this short video!
